A Great Place to Live.

reviewed on: 11/27/2017 by Margorie Blaine

I've been here in Sierra View Terraces for four years this Thanksgiving. My experience here couldn't be better. I swim and use the pool, when I needed therapy for a back problem I got the best care I could have possibly got. You get help with everything, even my computer, it quit a few weeks ago and Crystal came and fixed it! Everything is kept up so nicely...it's hard to put into words how great my experience has been. It's the smartest move I ever made.

Reedley's Best Retirement Community

reviewed on: 03/14/2018 by Clifford Rees

I live at Sierra View Homes and have since 2013. Making the move to Sierra View was the best decision for my wife and myself. The employees here truly care about us and treat us with respect and dignity. I enjoy the daily Men's coffee club, and the companionship of all the residents. If you cant live in your home anymore this is truly the next best thing.

We found it to be the best-kept secret in economical living

reviewed on: 11/27/2017 by Joann Kalafut

My husband Arthur and I moved to SVH in February, 2012. We felt so fortunate to be able to spend our retirement years in such a beautiful place. We found it to be the best-kept secret in economical living -- didn't even need the usual appliances! As the years flew by my husband's health declined. The day came when it became necessary to move him into skilled nursing because I could no longer care for him. The transition was so simple and held no trauma for him or me. He was there for 4 1/2 months before God took him to heaven. During that time he received the best of loving compassionate care. The care-givers became our friends. I could walk over to see him and spend as much time with him as I wanted. I could even bring him to our apartment in his wheel-chair and have lunch with him. I can't be more grateful! I continue to live here and this will be my home until God takes me to His home. I have wonderful friends, a beautiful place to live, and all the support I need.

Overall I am very happy

Overall I am very happy with Sierra View Homes. This facility did not have a small single available when we needed it. They did give us a large unit at a small rate. The agreement was if a small single became available we would decide if we wanted the small or stay in the large if we could afford it. Well, they had crisis come up where they needed the large for double occupancy. They called to let us know but by the time we got up there they had already moved 2/3 of her things out. There was no sensitivity in the situation. They were trying to accommodate the resident because her husband was dying but there was no sensitivity to Sally being a new resident. The care is good. The patient/staff ratio is good. One personal pet peeve of mine is if clients or residents don't want to get dressed the staff let them stay in their pajamas. So sometimes in the common areas the residents still have their pajamas on. Sally is on hospice so she gets showers through them. I thought the staff would still give her at least one shower. They have accommodated us and we at least have a new shower schedule worked out. Overall its is very positive. The only thing that has irked the family is the whole scenario with moving her in. Their garden courtyard is very nice. Sally was always a gardener. We would encourage them that the TV in the common area should be a little larger for 12-15 people to view it. It gets hard for all of the residents to see at once. One very positive thing is they got iPod s for the for residents. I think that is a really great thing.
