Kept Staff On Hand During The Storm
reviewed on: 09/15/2017 by AnonymousMy dad is doing much better here than the other place he used to live. This place is very clean and well maintained. The staff is very friendly and nice. In fact, the administration kept staff on hand during the whole storm. They never lost power, however, I did lose the ability to call my dads room directly but I was able to get through to the main number to check on him. He loves the food here much better than what he was being served at the prior community where he was. I would recommend this community
They Cater to Individual Needs and Preferences
reviewed on: 01/21/2016 by Happy FamilyOur family has been impressed with the fact that Savannah Court is committed to continue to care for residents even when they progress in the aging process. They do not look for an excuse to terminate someone's residency because the individual needs more help or is difficult to deal with. Unless a resident becomes very ill or it becomes unsafe for them to live there, Savannah Court makes every concession possible for them to stay. We have seen them treat difficult residents with dignity and respect in spite of what the resident may do or say. They also cater to individual needs. Many places promise this or "market" this, but in reality, it's just a gimmick to get people in the door. If food needs to be pureed, if someone is on a diet, or someone just has preferences, they are more than willing to accommodate. They allow residents and families to make their own decisions, and do not try to interfere. We appreciate the family-like atmosphere and enjoy getting to know other residents and families.
SAVANNAH COURT LAKELAND BEST CHOICE IN TOWN!!$

He picked the room he wanted, he was able to bring his 2 cats with him, and he settled in quite nicely! It's such a hard decision to make, to put a loved one into a facility. Cecile, at Savannah Court Lakeland, helped make this process so much easier! There are so many Assisted Living facilities out there. But I believe in my heart, there are none like Savannah Court Lakeland out there. The staff WANT to be there. They LOVE the residents, and TREAT THEM WITH LOVE, CARING, RESPECT, AND DIGNITY at Savannah Court Lakeland. The meals are home cooked. The person over the kitchen area cares if a resident didn't like a meal. She sits down at the table, to be eye level with them, and talks to them re what they didn't like about the meal, when she notices a resident not eating. How many places do this??? I'd bet none, other than Savannah Court of Lakeland!!! It's not the cheapest of choices, but I believe you get what you pay for! And I have seen it proven 100% so, in the time since my husband moved in. He will tell you he likes living there and he's happy being there. This makes me feel so good. It also confirms to me, that I chose the right place for my husband to live at. He's a high fall risk, and has hit his head on concrete twice in the past 4 months. His cognitive and memory skills are affected from this, of course. IF or WHEN he gets to the point that he requires the Memory Care level of care, there is Savannah Cottage, close by in Lakeland, that is Memory Care. It's owned by the same company. It's a great relief to me, that if the time comes that my husband has to move to there, he WILL STILL BE TREATED WITH LOVE, COMPASSION, RESPECT, AND DIGNITY. I AM 100% CONFIDENT THIS WOULD BE SO. I HIGHLY recommend that cost NOT be one's factor when choosing a place for your loved one. And when you tour a facility, smell as you go through out it, look for the cleanliness and maintenance of it too. But most importantly, look for the interaction of the staff with the residents! You'll choose Savannah Court Lakeland if you do this. It's a small community that the residents call "home".

Also learned that Savannah Court has day-care available. Thank you for this great information. I will be passing this valuable information on to others. This placement was for my husband who suffers with dementia and it provided me an opportunity to take a little time off.
