Community Reviews
Exceptional Service, Caring Staff, Beautiful Community
reviewed on: 01/27/2020 by AnonymousBoth of my parents are living at Osprey Lodge in the assisted living side. My father is terminally ill and is also on hospice. The two of them have received exceptional support from Osprey Lodge staff, who have been responsive to their health challenges and have come up with many creative solutions to make their lives easier- for example, taking orders and delivering meals to my father, talking to my mother "nurse to nurse" about her concerns (she's a retired RN), and going out of their way to make sure my mother doesn't self-isolate in their apartment due to her concerns for my father. The staff have all been exceptionally attentive, kind and courteous. Meals can be ordered from an extensive menu with daily specials; most of the food is made fresh and prepared in house by the team of chefs. There are multiple activities offered every day; some of the weekly musical shows are of very high quality. The lodge itself is clean, spacious, and has a lot of amenities. My parents are in one of the few two bedroom/two bathroom apartments and are finding it adequate to their needs. We could not be happier with our experience here.
Monitor their care
reviewed on: 07/24/2016 by PatThey are clean and friendly and have alot of activities. However we pay for nursing and assisted showers for my father. He does not get showered on a regular basis even after a meeting with head of nursing who told me she would personally make sure it happened. And even though they know he has a blood clot in his leg and medication that can cause bleeding an unattended leg wound was found by a family member. Obviously not regurlarly checking a known medical problem either. So beware and monitor.
A community for care.
reviewed on: 06/20/2017 by dcI like knowing that this community is nice. We like the staff who are will to help anytime. They are happy to help. We like the cleanliness of the community and the environment. The menu is nice and she is happy with the menu. They offer here a lot of activities for her to participate and she does enjoy being active. We would recommend this community for the care of a loved one for the good value and care.
very nice
reviewed on: 09/29/2015 by AnonymousI only toured Osprey Lodge. It was very nice for the asking price. They seemed to have a really good amount of activities in memory care and the regular area. They seem to try to keep the residents active. They have a lot outdoor gardens that are secure for the residents to enjoy. I thought it was a nice facility.
Too Large
reviewed on: 12/16/2013 by Potential ResidentSeveral stories tall, very large, not much of a family type atmosphere. It seemed like they spent an awful lot of money on their public areas, and I didn't think that their private apartments were up to the same standard.
