Mom has a lot of needs—loss of memory, breathing difficulties, broken hip—but has received patient and always loving care from the staff at Avonlea. Additionally, we appreciate that a physician visits twice monthly to monitor her health and identify any medical needs. During the Covid shutdown, Avonlea worked with us as a family to continue visits with Mom through FaceTime and “door visits,” all of which have been critical to keeping her spirits and health up during a difficult time. Avonlea has also navigated the danger of Covid spreading in a responsible way, testing when it seems appropriate and acting promptly when an issue arises. All in all, our family could not ask for better care for our mother and are grateful for the thoughtful guidance of AvaLynda and Alma and loving care of the staff."
