Community Reviews

True Home Away From Home

reviewed on: 03/30/2021 by K. H.

They are fantastic. The community provides consistently open communication, genuinely care for the residents, they go out of their way to make sure my loved one is taken care of. They found ways to have the families involved with the residents and community during the pandemic. My loved one likes the food. They have even complimented the staff!

Not safe for animals

My mother walked into Golden Heights in Harrison City, PA on her own. Had just started with signs of dementia but still able to carry on conversations, even walk on her own. She lasted maybe 3 months & was in the hospital twice within 2 weeks. She left with a broken hip & no longer talks or walks. Oh yes, you suggest this review mention also the quality of food.... One night for dinner they got chicken wings. Chicken wings, with a bone in them of course. Half of the people there barely have teeth! Not to mention they may not even know what they're eating. I believe dinner time was when the staff was scheduled for their cigarette break? Which I think they were probably only given 5 a day poor things so they were unable to assist the residents in eating their chicken wings. I feel for the people that do not have any family members to guard/ help them.
