It's a Great Place to Live!
reviewed on: 06/26/2020 by EvelynOur daughters wanted us to move to Myrtle Beach to be closer to them. My husband & I moved to Brightwater over 5 years ago and he has since passed. The support system helped me take care of him so we could stay together and my friends were close to talk to. I stay busy playing games with my friends and my favorite, Sequence is fun for everyone. I enjoy being social and can always find someone to talk to on the porch. Everyone is so friendly, including the staff. The variety for meals is good and I always find something I like. I don’t have to worry about anything because Brightwater will take care of it. Transportation allows us to stay independent even if you don’t drive and even take us to church. The gardens are beautiful and I really enjoy my walks.

We moved to a 3 bedroom cottage on Oct. 1st, 2014 and have loved every minute of our time here!! The staff and services could not be better; the neighbors are awesome and very friendly! reviewed on: 03/25/2021 by Lorraine RI was a little apprehensive about moving from Pennsylvania to Myrtle Beach until my children introduced me to Brightwater Retirement Community. Once I saw the beautiful setting and surroundings, I was anxious to see the villa. I could not have wished for more. The villa has everything I want or need and is so conducive to how I want to live. A light and airy atmosphere with plenty of windows, lovely living room, nice workable kitchen with all new appliances, great laundry room with plenty of storage. A wonderful bedroom with a walk-in closet and a good size bathroom with a tile shower.

I get to think about what I want to do. Everyone is so friendly and it is easy to make new friends with are various activities and interests. We have a council to voice our concerns and be active in our community.

The location of our villa was great, close to the elevator and a view of the pool & palm trees. The atmosphere is friendly, and we got to know everyone. We were interested in the various levels of care that would be available to us. My wife passed away and I chose to move to a smaller villa and everything is pleasant. Brightwater has a sociable environment with activities & dining. I enjoy my new life with a special lady and the comradery of other veterans and friends.
