This is an excellent facility established by local residents for independent and assisted living and memory care. It's located within easy, safe walking distance of a friendly downtown area, providing a decent level of independence with support...especially helpful when one of a couple needs more care than the other. It's not a for-profit and it's not a chain, everyone there is reliable and responsible to the residents and their loved ones. The staff is flexible, patient and polite. It's near public transportation, good for visitors, and of course has its own transportation for residents. One does not need to move if one starts to need assistance or hospice, except for the separate memory care unit. By far the most accommodating of a dozen facilities I toured.
