Being able to chat with other residents becomes an important part of many peoples' lives and Summerfield offers common spaces indoors to support that need. The benefit of living in an assisted living community is that making meals can be costly and time consuming process so Summerfield provides meals for residents. If a resident needs assistance moving from a bed to a wheelchair, this facility has staff who can help.
Unique Features
This beautiful 8 acre property is famous for its lovely landscaping, nature walkways, shuffleboard courts, potting sheds and gazebos.
A comprehensive study of retirement facilities was conducted throughout several states. Based on personal visits to assisted living facilities, information was compiled and an extensive survey was prepared and mailed to more than five thousand Manatee County senior citizens to determine their needs and desires. The overwhelming response revealed a strong desire for elegant as well as comfortable surroundings in a residential setting. With these goals in mind, Summerfield became a reality.
In 1997 the "Reader's Preference Award" voted Summerfield the best retirement community. -
