Tiny Rooms
reviewed on: 12/05/2013 by DaughterReally nice, but the only room that they had available was not going to be a good situation. It was really tiny room, and her roommate would have been only in her 40's and had had a stroke and couldn't talk clearly. My mom is hard of hearing so they wouldn't have been able to communicate at all. The worst thing was that the bed was so close to the closet that she couldn't have gotten between them with her walker. It's a pretty place with nice people. They gave us a Boston creme pie when we toured!
Review of Savannah Court of Maitland - Maitland, FL
reviewed on: 01/17/2018 by AnonymousThe majority of the “team” here seem to care about the patient’s court side well-staffed, cove side – not too sure about. Have seen techs standing and when patients need care. Just my opinion. Angel, Mark, Bob, Jerency are awesome and others I don’t know their names. Big, Big complaint is your parking!!! Needs to be addressed!!! Thanks
A good choice for mom
reviewed on: 08/30/2017 by Karen MannWe picked Savanah Court for my mom based on a number of factors. First was value, second was Location and facilities. As it turns out this was a good decision. So far everything has been going well. We've been impressed with the overall care Mom has gotten. She likes her apartment and we like the management of her medications and therapy. After all she has been through, multiple hospital and rehab stays in the past few ,months we feel she is finally thriving. One thing mom really enjoys are the meals. The choices and preparation are great and she is finally eating well, and enjoying it, on a regular basis.
Should've done it sooner!
reviewed on: 07/06/2016 by NatalieIn 2012, sadly, my husband passed. I then had to take care of the home by myself (boy, did I miss his cooking). However, when it came time to start replacing parts of the house (the AC, the roof, etc.), I decided my life had to change. In 2015 my cousin and I started our research on Assisted Living Facilities; we researched everything in the Orlando area, and realized we needed to narrow our results to 3. Meantime, I became ill and the move became more necessary so I relied on my cousin to visit the communities. When she visited Savannah Court of Maitland she was impressed by the facility and the friendliness of not only the staff, but the residents. Also one of my criteria was to find a place in which I could remain for the rest of my life. My peace of mind was satisfied by the fact that Savannah Cove Skilled Nursing and Rehab was in the same building. The decision was made! Even my first day at Savannah Court was a pleasure as I was called by first name immediately leading to my feeling of being a member of a new family. No more cooking, doing dishes, washing clothes, cleaning up; just living life and having fun - activities, entertainment, transportation, shopping, and refreshments galore. My new family and home are now the best decision of my life. I should have done it sooner!
Friendly, welcoming community
reviewed on: 03/23/2016 by AnonymousOur experience with Savannah Court has been a very good one, overall! The facility is clean and well kept (although occasionally there will be odors), and the staff all seem very attentive and caring. I like that they'll check on residents if they don't make it down for a meal. The dining service itself does a good job, as well! The food is good, and they're very flexible with the menu. Mom really seems to have settled in well, and the other residents have been very friendly and welcoming!
