My review of Ivy Hall
reviewed on: 03/01/2021 by anonymousWe chose Ivy Hall because of the value for the money as well as the availability. The communication has not been what I would have hoped for, especially with not being able to go inside. Overall, I would maybe recommend them, it is just hard since we have not been able to go visit.
Lovely Facility - Became Home Overnight For Mom
reviewed on: 04/15/2014 by AnonymousFrom the first time we walked in the door, my wife and I knew it would be a perfect place for my 89 year old mother. Becoming blind late in life presents many barriers, but the marketing team and management staff let us know that type of disability would not be an issue for them. When the Director of Nursing came to our house to evaluate my mother, she really took her time and observed as well as interviewed her. The level of service needed was not above what we thought we needed and that was a pleasant surprise; for that is one way that the cost could be prohibitive for us. The move in was seamless, my mother transitioned well into her new living quarters and I didn't see her again for hours until I got tired sitting there and decided to leave. I found her downstairs participating in activities she hadn't done in four years. She has been there over two weeks and the activities for her are just right and she really does enjoy her new life. The proof was definitive when she called my wife and thanked her for finding such a wonderful place for her. We enjoy visiting and when the nursing staff see us, they immediately give us an update without being prompted. They truly are wonderful caretakers and it is obvious they love their jobs.

Mom's success story
reviewed on: 11/06/2020 by Patti CrowderI would like to tell a great success story, regarding my 93 year old Mom's progress since breaking her leg in Jan this year. Going from independent living to the hospital for surgery, to a rehab facility and ending up at Ivy Hall Assisted Living the end of Feb. When she first got to Ivy Hall, she was on a catheter and could not put weight on the leg she broke until March. She required 3 aides to assist her during that time. Once she was able to put weight on that leg, she started going to Alyson, the PT person at Ivy Hall. Alyson got Mom to eventually walk again. As she continued getting stronger, she required less assistance from the aides and is now down to one aide a day, which helps her with her shower and getting her bra and top on. Mom has difficulty with this due to both shoulders being dislocated. Her goal, all this time at Ivy Hall, was to get stronger and walk well so she can move back to independent living. I have to say I'm nervous about this move, since she's being so well taken care of at Ivy Hall. But my Mom is a very stubborn woman and when she gets her mind set on something, there's no changing it. So I would like to thank all the staff at Ivy Hall for the wonderful job they have done while Mom was a resident there. I would recommend this facility for anyone out there having to make a decision regarding their loved ones.
Our tour experience
reviewed on: 11/11/2021 by anonymousOur family had an in person tour and Ivy Hall was comparable to the other facility we saw, and they had mostly studio sized apartments.
