reviewed on: 09/27/2016 by AnonymousIvy Hall Assisted Living has been very attentive to the care needs for my mother. Most importantly it's a safe place with wonderful staff. The cleanliness and organization of the community is great. I have no complaints about anything the meals are nutritious and the portions are good. I really liked the manager, he was nice since the beginning and gave us a great deal.
Wonderful Care makes a big difference
reviewed on: 11/12/2018 by AnonymousThis is a wonderful Assisted Living facility. We moved my mother here from Independent Living with additional scheduled care services. She had stopped participating in activities or going to the dining room. In hindsight, we see that she suffered from depression in addition to physical limitations. Since moving to Ivy Hall she has shown amazing improvement. She goes to the dining room and some activities. Her personality is back to her friendly, "people person" self. I took her picture after had her hair cut and sent it to my out of state children. My son's comment was, "she looks ten years younger than she did 6 months ago". That's how noticeable the improvement is. All because of her care and the family environment at Ivy Hall. The entire staff is personally involved with and supportive of the residents.

It was such a comfort when we found Ivy Hall. We searched for a place with a good reputation and was also affordable. The staff truly cares for our mom and asks us how they can provide for all her needs. Our mom doesn’t speak English very well and yet the staff take the time to understand what she needs. The maintenance person even labeled the TV control with the station number for the Korean channel so our mom is able to watch her Korean dramas. They take the time to call us when they aren’t able to communicate with her. The Ivy Hall creates a home environment and our mom seems very comfortable at her new home. The professional healthcare providers ensure our mom stays healthy. The staff offered to FaceTime with our mom so we can see each other during the coronavirus social distancing time. It is such a comfort to know our mom is well taken care as though she is part of the family (we live five hours from Atlanta). We recommend Ivy Hall to anyone looking for an assisted living facility for their loved ones.

She had an unusually fast decline - moved in on a Thursday, went under Hospice Care that evening and passed away on Friday evening - a resident for 30 hours. I couldn't have asked for anything more in terms of attention or compassion.

We have noticed a big improvement in his mental condition and general mood since moving here. He has stopped using his wheelchair and now uses only a walker. His room is bright and cheerful and he no longer complains about the food. He says the caregivers and other personnel are 'smiley' and seem happy to be working here. The maintenance fellow has gone far out of his way to help us get the TV system set up and working, even giving us one of his own cables when ours was missing. The building administrator has been available to talk with us about some of the doctor's unusual medical instructions. We are very pleased with Ivy Hall.
