Great Reception!
reviewed on: 08/06/2020 by Lindalee SchultzThe last couple of times we’ve been to see Mom, front desk was helpful, courteous, and so nice. They were organized and I appreciate that they do this over and over and over again and still wear a smile! Covid has all of us on edge and I’m thankful the staff at Hawaii Kai help to ease our anxiety!
World Class Deserts
reviewed on: 09/08/2020 by Patricia BergMy husband and I have been fortunate enough to travel the world and taste some of the finest cuisines. The food at Hawaii Kai Retirement is worth it's weight in gold, their deserts are unsurpassed in quality. My hat goes off to the Executive Chef and pastry bakers! We enjoy the food variety, exceptional service and exquisite deserts. We are very happy here.

Wonderful Employees who go the Extra Mile
reviewed on: 10/18/2020 by Joy MooreI have been so pleased with the care that has been given to my mother during the many years that she has lived at the Hawaii Kai Retirement Home in Honolulu. She has moved away to the Mainland a few times, but always returns to Hawaii Kai. The residents are a great group of people that Mom enjoys interacting with. The employees are all pleasant and understand about keeping the residents safe during the time of Covid. Daily life, of course, is not "normal" at this time. It isn't for any of us. My mother is in Independent Living at this time, but I am assured that she can move up to Assisted Living when it becomes necessary without having to change anything but her apartment. It is wonderful that they have been able to set up InstaCart for my Mom so that she does not have to leave her apartment during these stressful times. The last thing I want to worry about is Mom having to go out to purchase various sundries. I appreciate the ability to talk with the management when necessary. They have been very responsive.
Very nice facility
reviewed on: 11/17/2017 by AnonymousWe chose to move Mom back to Hawaii since that is where she is from as well the majority of our relatives too. From what my Mother has said, she thinks the place is very nice. Of course this is a big change in lifestyle and the staff is doing what they can to help her adjust. My mom is not one to socialize nor participate in a lot of activities. It has only been a month and hopefully she will try to participate in some of the many activities they offer to keep busy.
