Thanks to great staff
reviewed on: 11/17/2019 by Candace KingMy Mom was in the skilled nursing facility for over three years, and the care was superb. The nursing staff are wonderful, we got to know them well. Yes, there is a resident who yells "Help" at all hours, and I saw the staff respond with kindness and compassion. There are a few residents who repeatedly push the call button, so the beeping is frequent. But the care is excellent. The facility does not allow tipping, instead having a holiday fund to which families are asked to contribute. We were always happy to help reward the wonderful people who were doing the difficult work of caring for our mother. I hope I can go to KB House when the time comes.
Should have moved here sooner!
reviewed on: 04/11/2016 by MrsPatJahnAs a resident my husband and I are truly blessed to have found KB House. The staff is amazing...they treat us like royalty. The food is superb...comparable to a fine restaurant. We live in one of the townhouses and they deliver meals to our house piping hot and ready to eat. There is so much offered...including a garden that produces fresh vegetables that you can pop over and pick fresh. The one comment I hear from other residents is we should have moved here sooner. The folks here are outgoing and very friendly. My husband had a stay in health care and the nursing was caring and efficient.
It's a very good place.
reviewed on: 03/07/2016 by AnonymousIt's a very good place. They have made a good effort to come and get her for activities. The dining room is big and gorgeous, with a fireplace, and cloth tables, that we saw on the walk through, but that's not where the memory care residents eat. It was a bit misleading, but other than that, they do a good job with her.
Skilled Nursing Care with Excellence and Grace
reviewed on: 04/23/2020 by BarbMy mother suffered a very severe stroke and was unable, to talk, communicate in any way, move, eat or do anything for herself at all. The level of care she received at K-B was extraordinary. She was fed, bathed, changed, given medications, etc. But beyond that, she was treated like a person. She was taken to activities that she could watch but could not participate in. She was talked to while she could never respond. Staff took the time to change the TV channel to shows she enjoyed when she could never do this herself. There are no words to describe what that meant to me when I could not be there myself. My mother was at another facility prior to King Bruewaert and it was a totally different story. There she was ignored for 8 to 10 hours at a time, not changed, not showered and sometimes not even given prescribed medications. When we found K-B, it was an answer to a prayer. The nursing care is very good, but the personal caring and attention from staff is -- there are really no words to describe it. It's very difficult to care for people in these circumstances. Is it perfect? No. But concerns were addressed and K-B works closely with family to create good solutions. I don't feel any concern went unaddressed. That's all you can ask for. K-B staff cares for patients with kindness and grace. I am grateful that this place. Our mother has now passed, but I still think about K-B cared for my mother and am grateful.
Beautiful!
reviewed on: 08/27/2013 by PeteIt was beautiful, like in an arboretum. They were excellent but too far out for us. As far as outdoors and just the setting - it was great.
