Perfect place for mom
reviewed on: 12/01/2019 by D. MetzgerMy mother who recently passed away spent about 7 years as a resident of Central Baptist Village. First in the Terrace for those with mid stage Alzheimer’s and then in the Skilled Nursing Pavilion for those with late stage Alzheimer’s. In the Terrace the residents have their own room while in the Pavilion they share a room. There are plenty of activities and the staff does a great job trying to keep everyone involved. Deciding on finding a place for your loved one when Alzheimer’s starts to take its toll is one of the toughest things to do but the people at Central Baptist have eased our burden by taking great care of my mother. They have always been profession and personable and when we came to visit we were greeted by name and treated like family. When issues did arrive they were handled quickly and the follow up was continuous. One thing to consider when finding a place for your loved one is what happens should they outlive their money. Central Baptist kept my mother once she ran out of money and made sure they helped me every step of the way to make sure the Medicaid process was done correctly and once she was approved there was no impact on her care. I can’t stress enough how their help through this time eased my mind. It takes a special person to care for those with Alzheimer’s and Central Baptist has done a great job finding employees who care and do their best in a tough situation. Even in her last days they would have my mom dressed and at the table, dining room, or one of the activities even if she no longer participated. Not once in any of my visits did I find her in bed or being neglected. That became her second family and for that I will always be grateful.
changed my mind about dependent living
reviewed on: 01/21/2017 by ella sue jacobMY father had to transferred from independent living to dependent living. I have worked as a R.N. in a hospital and I have first hand experience with patients that come from dependent living. WHAT a difference with Central Baptist Village. I have had nothing but a positive experience with all staff members. Especially social service, rehab, nursing attendance. My father has significant visual problems and his television in his room was not adequate. They after me asking immediately moved his television from his apartment into his room. Kudos to them, they added a component to this man's life that is enhancing. I would not hesitate to have a loved one as a resident in this wonderful facility
So far it's been pretty good.
reviewed on: 05/20/2014 by ClaireSo far it's been pretty good. I have to follow up with things, and learning what she needs help with. She likes the food. We chose them for a few reasons, I liked their pricing and that it was exact and inclusive. We liked the location, and we had also heard a lot of nice things from trusted healthcare workers. They are very friendly, before we made the decision, they were very patient. There is a chapel there, too.
Central Baptist Village - Norridge, IL
reviewed on: 12/27/2016 by Nancy WallaceMy parents had been in skilled & assisted living communities when they were alive. I wish CBV had room for my parents but they were always full. Luckily, my aunt was able to get into CBV late last year. Although she could not do everything for herself due to her stroke the staff at CBV was "outstanding" and treated her well, spoke to her often (she became blind) and overall were the best I've ever experienced. I was so happy she was there. "10" stars!!
Best Elderly Care Center You'll Find
reviewed on: 04/16/2019 by Dan LoegerMy father stayed at the Pavilion skilled nursing center at Central Baptist Village. I found every aspect of their facility and caring staff to be top-notch and professional, exceeding all my expectations and that of my large family too. Every staff member truly cares for the patients, from qualified, attentive nurses to CNA assistants and including the organized, bright and high quality cafeteria. Activities were prevalent and organized (they had attendant wheel my Dad to mass) bringing a sense of community among the residents. The size of the facility is just right (not too big) and is kept immaculately clean, very secure and safe and has plenty of windows and outdoor walking spaces. I wish there was a higher rating than 5 stars. Because 5 stars isn't high enough. Kudos to Central Baptist Village and wishing them continued success in the future.
