Assisted Living for my 89 year old Mother
reviewed on: 11/24/2014 by AnonymousI chose Hearthstone for my mother's Assisted Living Residence because it was the only one in the area that offered all levels of care. She has now been a resident for 6 weeks. Thanks to the Staff her transition to Assisted Living has been as smooth as possible. The staff are helpful and caring and adapted quickly to her needs. The food service is excellent with several choices available for the three daily meals. Hearthstone’s fees are reasonable for the levels of assistance offered and in fact were the lowest of the four residences I visited. I highly recommend Hearthstone for your loved one who has reached a point in their life where living alone without assistance is no longer possible

reviewed on: 05/08/2020 by AnonymousWe have been very happy at Hearthstone so far. I would recommend Hearthstone. They have a variety of room sizes. The staff is there to help and support my dad. My dad likes the food. They are now with the virus all eating in their rooms, my dad misses the socialization of being in the dining room with the friends he has made at Hearthstone.
Needs More Activities!!

I would recommend this place to family and friends. Overall, the staff are nice, the housekeeping maintains everything clean and my loved one is in a safe place.

They say you are able to control your heat and air but apparently when the air is on its set at 70 and the temperature can't be adjusted in the individuals apartment. I don't know of any elderly people who can tolerate 70 degrees. At least not my mom. Angela has been very nice and trying to help but the nurse lashed out at her threatening to take my mom's portable heater. Angela told my mom it is fine but apartment nurse Walker overstep her duties. She also gave us a hard time filling out the VA benefits application Everyone else there is very helpful and kind.
