A full-service continuing care retirement community (CCRC), BayWoods is structured as a for-profit housing cooperative (co-op) for seniors - BayWoods Cooperative Housing Corporation (BCHC). Residents are shareholders in BCHC with a full equity position. BCHC collectively owns the residential (independent living) units, community common areas, Health Care Center, covered parking garage and the surrounding land including outdoor recreational areas, and the waterfront boardwalk and pier. This position provides residents all of the financial advantages of home ownership, such real estate tax deductions and potential appreciation of their investment, along with the opportunity to claim their share of the community as an asset. A Superb CCRC Community
reviewed on: 11/21/2017 by Guy ShafferI have lived at BayWoods for 14 years. It is a superb facility well managed with a sound financial status and wonderful amenities. Located directly on Chesapeake Bay in Annapolis it provides a wide range of independent living backed by a highly regarded Continuing Care Health center with superb staff. Annapolis offers multiple opportunities for activities provided by the US Naval Academy, The National Sailing Hall of Fame and Londontown Historical Village. BayWoods itself provides multiple dining options, indoor pool and summer swimming in the Bay from BayWood's 50 ft pier. A wide ranging program of activities provides intellectual, art, woodworking, musical and lectures. The food is excellent and the staff is responsive and attentive. Come join our Community!
