Community Reviews
Nice friendly environment!!
reviewed on: 12/05/2016 by AnonymousMy mother is doing the best that she can on making the adjustment into this community. the staff are very friendly and have been attentive to my loved ones needs. She said there could be a little improvement on the food they serve. It is a mediatrian diet so its a little different then what she is used to with the different spices and flavors.
Very nice place!
reviewed on: 03/09/2015 by AnonymousIt was a wonderful community with a thoughtful program. We were so impressed with the options available. They were compassionate, sensible people. They are able to accommodate peoples protections, vulnerability, and medical needs. They are able to preserve peoples independence and dignity. The person we met with, Alisha, was very patient. They have everything from total independence to total supervision. The only downside is that the assisted living portion is a little out of our price range.
only thing that I would say needs improving is the food
reviewed on: 09/03/2015 by AnonymousThe only thing that I would say needs improving is the food at Armbrook Village. Everything is just really great. The care of the staff, the consideration, and activities. It was a hard adjustment for my mom at first as she left the home she lived in for 74 years, but she now really sees the advantage of being there. I am really pleased with that.
Perfect place for my mom
reviewed on: 09/13/2019 by Mickey BuhlWe looked very carefully at many sites for my mom as it became clear Alzheimers was setting in. Our entire family is so happy that we found and chose Armbrook. Their super-friendly, family-like feel is wonderful, the programming is ideal for my mom - keeping her engaged in cheerful, engaging activities, and their unending positivity maintains her dignity as her mental control fades. It's been simply wonderful.
Armbrook Village - A special place for my mom.
reviewed on: 10/19/2019 by Kathy MurrayI wanted to share how Armbrook Village in Westfield, MA has been the perfect place for my mom. Mom has adjusted beautifully and is so happy at Armbrook. It truly is an amazing place. I can't believe how happy everyone there is from senior residents to all their staff and Dr. May who does patient medical visits in their own apartment. Even employees who come in and hang pictures or set up her TV just love Armbrook. The young staff hustle about the dining room aware of who needs help deciding what to order, who they should offer to have their meat cut for them, etc. Residents approach both myself and my mom inquiring on how she is adjusting and offer suggestions such as "I think she will like exercise class" or just complimenting her sweater, her sneakers or otherwise welcoming her to the community. I have caught myself wondering how all the residents could be so happy - do they screen out grouchy or negative clients? Then I realize it is just that they alleviate the stress of aging and memory loss by providing clients with what they need. They go above and beyond planning activities that will be meaningful, fun and enriching. I was fighting back tears when my Mom said to me "Everyone is so nice here, some people need more than me and some need less, but we are all here getting what we need". As she visited other places, she always looked at residents hoping to feel many people were more at her level of need and she truly finds that at Armbrook.
