reviewed on: 12/28/2012 by A Place For Mom CustomerGood services and can accommodate 2 person/mechanical lift. Straight forward pricing (once it's set) and very open to discussing financing options. Resources for additional care (don't usually work w/Park Nicolette nursing) and legal/financial advice. Mentioned that catheter would be changed and cared for more often. No strange smells, but seems dingy for such a new location - even in remodeled areas. Have to purchase or rent a mechanical lift. Apt. very small even w/two bathrooms. Seems designed to keep residents out of their apt. and socializing with others.
Good choice
reviewed on: 09/10/2014 by bosephusWorked with this facility as POA for mother and mother-in-law. Good meals, conscientious service, friendly and caring staff, and competitively priced for base package. Extras like medication administration is pricey, and it seems it is all or nothing, no simple service to just verify mom took her meds every morning or evening.
Staff goes above and beyond expectations
reviewed on: 10/27/2017 by JulieI chose this community because of the location and everything they offered. I wanted a facility that wants my dad as much as my dad wants to be in the facility and this is it. The deciding factor was Nicole, one of the administrators. She really sold us on this facility and taught us everything. I cannot begin to explain how wonderful she is. The staff goes above and beyond all of my expectations on a daily basis. Everyone here is so welcoming and made it feel like home. The staff members know all of the resident’s names. The only drawback I have is sometimes the administration is really tough to get a hold of and you don’t see much interaction between them and the staff. Though, I do understand the administration is busy with all of the behind the scenes work. The food is sometimes mediocre but sometimes that’s expected when going into a facility like this. They serve 3 meals a day and they have about 3-4 options for each meal. Also, they do offer snacks in between meals. The community itself is pretty nice. There is a courtyard but its hard place to sit in. There’s seating in the back of it but a lot of smokers sit back there. They should place some chair and tables out there so if you want to have a drink or sit in the sun, you would be able to. The rooms are spacious, they feel good to be in, and they’re pretty clean. Someone comes in once a day to take the trash out and picks up the small messes. One time a week they have a deeper clean and they sweep, mop, and do the laundry. In the rooms, they do have a small microwave and a mini refrigerator. For activities, there is something to do every single day and the director is wonderful. I would highly recommend this community.
