Good fit for Dad
reviewed on: 01/09/2018 by AnonymousIt's very comfortable and I like the fact that they take them on outings here. Dad is happy here he has a 1 bedroom apartment that overlooks a pond with a beaver mound so he loves that being a hunter and fisherman. They will clean 1x a week and will do 2 loads of clothes a week. There was a little bit of a miscommunication in the beginning, we had given them the date to move in and we got there and it wasn't ready. He has PT and OT coming in and a male helper to help him bathe. Dad loves the food he asked them if they ever cooked eggs and bacon and they didn't but they are very accommodating and they know serve that. The staff is great. They try to engage him to join the daily activities. He loves to visit with friends when eating meals. I would recommend this community.
Mom is so happy!
reviewed on: 01/22/2020 by AnonymousEdgewood Sartell is amazing! The staff are so friendly and caring, and it feels like home the second you walk through the doors. The care is personalized to my mother, and my mom loves it here. I would recommend this assisted living and memory care to everyone.
I trust my loved one in their care
reviewed on: 04/01/2021 by anonymousI would recommend Edgewood. If there's any issues, they're quick to respond. They go above and beyond. I can call at the last minute and receive assistance. I am a picky person too, because this is my loved one. He says the food is okay, but he's a man who loves to eat. I wish he had more variety in the food. Overall, I think they're good. When I walk in the building to go to my loved one's room, the common areas look clean, but I have not been able to go in to tour the whole thing due to Covid. Overall his room is clean as well, and I understand he has some personal responsibility in that too. And if I see an issue, they address it.
Bumpy start, but they are making extra effort. And that makes me more comfortable to be able to trust them.
reviewed on: 08/19/2021 by CLMake sure when you're checking it out that they will follow through with what they tell you. I made it clear that our family member is a critical diabetic. They said they could handle that, no problem whatsoever. But after moving in, we found out they don't do sliding scales for insulin, and they don't cook any special meals for diabetics. I was told that they could change his Dexcom meter, and they couldn't. The RN and I did not get along, and he did not follow through with things, to the extent that I had to take our family member to the doctor and learn how to do those things myself. But now that RN has left, and the new LPN and I have clicked. She can do the things the previous RN wasn't doing. So I trust her. Our family member loves the food, mostly because of the variety. When they serve pasta often (which he absolutely will not eat), there's a second choice available. And more recently they've started charting what he eats, realizing there are some things he's missing out on, and are starting to push to get more diabetic-friendly foods, for him as well as other residents.

reviewed on: 10/19/2017 by AnonymousItems of clothing and personal items have gone missing but they don't seem interested in finding out what happened to these things. If I am concerned about this, why don't they do something about it? They have PLENTY of time to investigate and if it is an employee, fire them for theft! It must be hard to find workers in this field because i'm told this is a problem everywhere. It seems like they are congressmen, let them steal and don't do anything about it and don't get rid of them. Can you tell this bothers me?
