Spring hills. Good but not what they say it is
reviewed on: 04/06/2015 by Barbara carfoliteWhen I approached Spring Hills about placing my Mom who had a stroke that left Her right side immobile and unable to speak. Throughout the interview process I received nothing but assurance that they could hanfke Mom in her condition and was lead to believe that the assigned level of care(highest) she would receive would address all of her needs. This was sadly misleading. While there is no doubt in my mind the staff cares for the residents their failure to consistently deliver has left me disappointed. I am paying extra for the personal care I was lead to believe was included ( this place is lovely but very expensive to begin with) in monthly fees. With better communication, staffing and practices this place could be great. At present its good and considering it was the best of all I've seen Mom will stay for now.

reviewed on: 03/08/2016 by Nancy McFarlandEveryone here has gone out of their way to make my aunt feel at home. She has made friends and enjoys the extra activities that are so thoughtfully provided. Any time we pass a staff member they say hello to my Aunt by name... She just beams!
Beautiful place, definitely don't specialize in dementia care
reviewed on: 10/22/2013 by AnnIf you're looking for a place that has assisted living, good food and is beautiful, then this is the place for you. If you're looking for a dementia care unit....then pass this one by. They have a small wing for dementia care "spring cottage", but it is only a hallway of rooms that are so brightly lit it always looks like daytime, since each room has a panel window on the side, there is always light shining through the window. Can be very confusing for someone with dementia. Their form of mental "therapy" consisted of the therapist putting in a video of old people doing therapy.....yes watching a video of a therapy session...while the "therapist" texts on her phone as the residents watch.

Excellent Care
reviewed on: 08/08/2017 by J. NuguitWe started working with Spring Hills Home Health Care when our Father, 90 years old, fell and broke his wrist. He was in the hospital for a few days and then went to a physical rehab center to regain his strength. He lives in an assisted living facility but we thought he might need some extra help once he got back home, to “get back in the swing” of things. The team from Spring Hills has been amazing!!! They met with us explained all the services they offer and we started with the 72 hour continuous care program. They attended the discharge planning meeting at the rehab facility, they escorted Dad back to his apartment and stayed with him round the clock for the first 3 days. The staff was continually checking in with us and our Dad and nothing fell through the cracks. We would not have been able to manage the “maze” of doctors, therapists evaluations etc. without them. They have been available day and night and the level of comfort that brings cannot be measured. We highly recommend their services. Bottom line, they do what they say they are going to do and we sleep better at night knowing our Dad is being taken care of.
