reviewed on: 04/30/2019 by MTThis is more than a Assisted Living it’s a family The Residents look out for each other The staff love and care for the residents as if they were their grandparent Families are welcomed treated with respect It is such peace of mind knowing my parent is safe and cared for Facility is well kept Only complaint I have heard is with the charge nurse in the evening many including mine residents say she is rude never available and takes long breaks I have had one encounter with her but I tend to avoid her other staff nurses aides waiters are very friendly always smiling
Overall feedback of 3 months of living there.
reviewed on: 05/30/2018 by Noreen ApplebyBrandywine at Governors Crossing in Englishtown is a lovely place. Very clean and well kept up. The food however is hit or miss. My mother has had some good experiences and not so good experiences. She is the first to give praise but the last one to complain. As her daughter I hear it when I make my visit. The food needs to be hot when arriving at the table. Fish is rubbery at times, hush puppies are hard. No noodles with the lasagna. Not enough sauce with the pasta. Dessert is the highlight of lunch/dinner. Breakfast is her favorite. The physical therapy she is getting is amazing. Couldn't walk much when she arrived but is making extremely great progress. The staff is pleasant. She loves having her hair and nails done on site.

reviewed on: 10/07/2020 by MeWhen others hear my mom is in a assisted living they are always intrigued to hear what great care she receives They go by horror stories they hear about but Not at Brandywine governors. Mom has no complaints she enjoys activities meals and friendships she has made The Nurses are always so caring they keep me informed and give me sense of ease with covid not seeing her for months was hard but she was good they kept them safe and entertained they would let us FaceTime when we wanted so the change with Covid was not as critical to mom because of this team we looked at 4 other places but this was the most family like friendly and clean
Gave me the right feeling
reviewed on: 08/27/2013 by Satisfied CustomerI had been looking and researching communities for about a year and this one just felt like it was the right choice. When I first started looking I didn't know what to look for but after visiting multiple communities and looking into them I learned about what we needed and what was best for my loved one. Brandywine was the community I chose after all the searching because it just felt right.
I want better activities during the day
reviewed on: 07/04/2018 by DaughterMy loved one resides here I have to be honest it’s ok definitely not as attractive decor as other Brandywines Food served at poor temp so needs to be hot Many visit I find snacks empty on Reflections this should be replenished as well as the hydration with fresh iced drinks The fruit in main dining area that sits out is always old spoiled not appealing One issue is Activities I’m so tired of coming in to Reflections to see them in front of a tv sleeping or left to stare at each other The coordinator when you approach her she claims she does activities but I never see a calendar I never see activities unless tv or weekend sing alongs where’s the trips? Trivia somthing I have been in at 10a 11a 1p 2p and same day after day when they do watch a movie in Reflections it’s on small tv It’s very concerning this escapades Director needs to go look at other brandywines I have wanted to speak up to Carol or Charlie but to be honest I think that Director would be evil to my mom in return
