A caring place for your loved one

Although it is a two hour drive for me each way, I was thrilled to find such a caring and competent place for my husband. Local facilities were very disappointing or did not take people with dementia/Alzheimers. The staff is wonderful; I feel like part of the family whenever I visit or talk to them on the phone. The facilities are top notch. It is a relief for me to know that my husband is safe, well-cared for and content.

The staff where wonderful and provided him with excellent quality of care. They made sure he was comfortable and took his medication everyday. I would highly recommend this place to anyone interested.

reviewed on: 04/28/2014 by AnonymousI really like the place! I didn’t stay there. They had puzzles out, television. My loved one likes to read the paper and someone was kind enough to go and get a paper every day. Talk to the staff a lot before choosing. I was very impressed with the staff.
Game Changer

Not only was their care of his physical needs (assistance with showers, medications, etc.) great, but how the staff cared for him and loved him is what really touched our family. After moving in, he went from having been isolated and alone at his last community, to always being in contact with others, sitting in the front, visiting, interacting easily. When we left after visits and he became sad, we would see him waving to us from the porch with tears in his eyes, and then his caregiver came out, hugged him, and smiling and talking to him took him back inside. The design is very thoughtful, feels like a big house and not a people warehouse. The cooks were always mindful of my granddad's picky nature about food, and knew him well enough that they served him something he loved without him having to return food he didn't like and ask for something else. The management is fantastic, it is clear that the caregivers follow the lead of their managers, Michelle & Lisa, when it comes to caring about and loving their residents. I can't say enough.
Kudos for Haciendas at Grace Village
reviewed on: 09/14/2016 by Happy FamilyWe cannot say enough good things about the Haciendas assisted living facility. Our dad was only able to stay for a month, due to ill health. While he was in the assisted living facility, every person there, including the nurses, aides and administrators, was kind, helpful, encouraging and caring. The cooks prepare very nice, nutritious meals and accommodate any dietary needs and preferences. The staff also threw a birthday party for my dad's friends and family to attend, complete with decorations and his favorite dessert! As our dad approached the end of his life, the staff helped us to arrange hospice care. Hospice nurses added to the continuing great care that Dad received until his end. The facility is very nicely appointed, with 12 private rooms, a comfortable dining space, with tables for 4, a pleasant living space/public space, a television, and a lovely patio. Every visitor my dad received also complimented the accommodations. All of the residents that we met seemed very comfortable and well-cared for. We highly recommend the assisted living facility at Haciendas at Grace Village. They made our entire family feel at home and as comfortable as we could in the circumstances.
