Youngstown is a village in Niagara County, New York, USA. The population was 2,063 at the 2013 census. It is part of the Buffalo-Niagara Falls Metropolitan Statistical Area.Youngstown is on the western edge of the town of Porter and is at the international border with Canada. It is north of the city of Niagara Falls.The Youngstown Level Regatta, one of the largest amateurs sailing regattas, is held here annually. Hosted by the Youngstown Yacht Club, the event was started in 1972 by Don Finkle, a YYC member looking for a different kind of yacht racing. He wanted to do something a little different where sailboats were raced without using handicaps. The YYC Level Regatta will celebrate its 40th Anniversary in July, 2013.
