Community Reviews
Lovely community
reviewed on: 10/20/2020 by B. JonesAtria Southpoint Walk is a lovely retirement community with many friendly helpful people allowing seniors to live well and stay safe. Dining options need to be improved both in variety and nutrition. the selections offered are repetitive and not enough options like salads and fruit are offered. Therapies - PT/OT and speeck offered through Legacy are excellent and available on site.
My parents care
reviewed on: 01/12/2017 by AnonymousThis is a great community. The staff was excellent. My parents did enjoy the activities with the other residents. The community is very clean and the staff is wonderful. I was happy to see them living close to me in a nice area. I would recommend the care and value to other families for care for a loved one.
Atria at Southpoint Durham.
reviewed on: 10/23/2015 by Jayne sahadiMy mother has been at Atria for two months. The adjustment seems to be going well and overall I think the move has been a positive experience. Her apt is light, bright and perfect for her. She is not as pleased with the food as we had hoped she would be. One of the chefs spoke to some of the residents and suggested the Atria chain could select a better food supplier which he felt would improve the meals offered. Staff has been wonderful and hard working. There are a variety of programs and activities offered. The maintenance staff solves issues in a timely fashion. Residents and staff are very friendly and concerned. The PT and OT staff have helped her and she has been been pleased with their concern for her. We would recommend this facility to others and, in fact, we already have.
Makes me young again!
reviewed on: 10/16/2020 by Lois MReally loved living here! The staff is always helpful and there is always fun things to do like going to DPAC, shopping or to a museum. Legacy is a great group as well and its very convenient to have them in the building - though they make me work hard :) I enjoyed having meals with others and doing puzzles in the common area. Overall a really nice place to live
Happy to have found Atria Southpoint
reviewed on: 10/21/2020 by AnonymousWe chose Atria Southpoint Walk because we liked that they offered an apartment with a separate bedroom, it was very convenient to where I live, and they also offer great activities for the residents. They do happy hour in their pub area where they could get together and be served drinks, they have a beautiful screened in gazebo, and a bus that takes people places. She says the food has been 50/50, but they do have a good variety. The best part about the community so far has been that they have had minimal covid outbreaks, so they are very consistent. I would definitely recommend.
