Community Reviews
I am happy with the care that she receives.
reviewed on: 01/24/2014 by Denise ButvinI'm not happy with the maintenance department at all when they say that they are going to get things done, they do not. I am happy with the care that she receives. They have a new administration. They just increased the rent and we weren't told that it would be that big of an increase every year. The bill is so not user friendly. It's difficult to read and understand what the charges are. There's a good variety of things to do. There is never enough parking because the employees are parking right next to the building. They have really treated her well. The staff really helped her to adjust.
More space!
reviewed on: 03/01/2017 by AnonymousThis community is very nice and clean and seemed to be good. It was a little older and a little more worn though. I also did not like that there rooms were very small. My mom needed a little more space.
Very accomodating, tried to address our needs
reviewed on: 10/21/2013 by DaughterIt was a good place, my mother really enjoyed the recreation program and the recreation people, she really participated in those. I think the staff overall were pretty good and when she brought up a problem it was rectified. My mother had broken her hip and was wheelchair bound, she had to be transported and her issues was after dinner, she was left next to last; so my sister took it up with the administrator and it was handled. Obviously, the people always complained about the food, 3 times a day, the food is the main thing to do. She couldn't chew her vegetables, it wasn't a major thing and she cleaned her plate so you have to take that with a grain of salt. One issue, and I think it's true for other assisted livings, my mother was going to have to stay there long term, she didn't know that yet, but our biggest issues was, if you're wheelchair bound, you can't get out of your room yourself. There's no push pad which surprised us, they should have a couple of wheelchair acessible rooms, but you have to pay for an escort service and that was a little frustrating. You can't come and go as you please, it just seems, in general, assisted living should have that available which would have made her happier.
Very nice place!
reviewed on: 12/15/2014 by AnonymousThings have gone very well at Homewood Residence! My loved one really seems to be enjoying herself here, and has had nothing but good things to say about how friendly everyone is! The staff have been great about keeping in touch with us, and always respond to any questions we have quickly. The facility itself is well kept and clean, and the rooms are a great size for the price! We also like that the community is divided up into smaller buildings, it makes it easier for our loved one to navigate.
Didn't like layout
reviewed on: 09/18/2013 by ClaudiaI didn't like the cottage set-up as opposed to one main building. I wanted mom to be able to interact and they were more expensive without justifying it against the others.
