Community Reviews
Independence in Assisted Living
reviewed on: 08/31/2020 by Jacki MillerMy family moved my grandmother into this community after she had some troubles in independent living. We tried to find a community where she would feel at home and that she still had her independence. Her ability to go to meals or make something in her room if she didn't feel like going out was a huge plus for us. She took her little dog Rowdy with her too. The view of her apartment was beautiful. We made wonderful memories with her here. The staff always knew who we were and loved when we would come visit. As she needed more care they were able to provide it to her and at the same time help her stay independent. Her appearance was very important to her and they always made sure she looked her best when they started helping her dress. The community had amazing events every month and we loved to join her and celebrate! As she aged she developed Alzheimer's and we were able to keep her in this community. we moved her items to an identical apartment in their memory care unit. This allowed her to stay comfortable with her surroundings and helped us know she was safe. I would recommend this community for someone who is looking for a place to only have to move once. They can take care of it all! I'm sad to say she passed away at the ripe old age of 93 but I'm very happy knowing she was in good hands.
Very satisfied
reviewed on: 11/11/2018 by Vieni S. KingFrom the beginning with A Home for Mom, my experience was very informative and kind. When my sister became involved in the hands on finalization of the choice, she also experienced a lot of help. She was especially satisfied with Brookdale. My mother feels very comfortable with Brookdale. No overwhelmed after the initial move. We feel very satisfied with our choice and it helps ever so much that our mother feels so good about it too.
Excellent staff
reviewed on: 06/08/2013 by Jeff SThey are very willing to work with you on various options. My mom has dementia, but isn't ready for memory care yet. They have been very attentive to her through this rough transition. Even many of the residents have gone out of their way to be nice and helpful. We were pleasantly surprised at how nice the memory care wing was for when mom needs to transition there. This was the best place for the money!
Nice ,clean amd quiet
reviewed on: 09/16/2015 by AnonymousNice, clean, & quiet. Caregivers are courteous and helpful but response time is occasionally quite slow. The whole staff has been very friendly and easy to work with. My mother finds the food quite bland but I think it probably has to be to accomodate everyones needs.
All Good People
reviewed on: 01/25/2016 by AnonymousIt is just an average facility, nothing really extravagant about it, or out of the ordinary. It seems like every time I ask to get something done, I have to keep repeating myself. They are all good people though, there is nothing bad about them.
