Not the best...
reviewed on: 02/27/2017 by AnonymousI was really liking The Fountains at Canterbury until I started to hear some things that were red flags. If I had heard one thing, then maybe I wo9uld have let it go but it was more like 5 different people telling me things. It gave me an uneasy feeling.
Best People Around!
reviewed on: 12/19/2018 by Patricia FreemanMy father was in Assisted Living for a short period of time before being put on Hospice-understandably his increased level of care required him to be moved to their skilled nursing facility-I dreaded this for my Dad-he was now in a hospital bed in his room we had set up for him so nicely and he wouldn't be able to bring those items with him-the nursing staff was just terrific in caring for him and he would have to have another group of nurses that would have to learn about him-the move was scheduled for the following week until my Dad's health steadily declined and the Administrator and Director of Nurses informed me they wouldn't move him!! It required more intensive nursing care from the aides and nurses however I never felt from them that my Dad was a burden and they were quick to fulfill any requests I had-like moving my Dad up in his bed or finding a straw to help with getting him a drink or feeding him ice cream/oatmeal to answering any questions I had and kind words and hugs after my Dad passed away within the week-it truly helped our family knowing he was in a safe comfortable supportive environment until his passing! I can't thank them enough!

reviewed on: 08/30/2013 by EvelynIt's a nice facility and they have a lot of activities for the residents there. The only thing that I didn't like was that it seemed more like a nursing home. Other than that, we just went to do a visit so I don't know how the food is or anyting like that.
Home Sweet Home
reviewed on: 05/01/2018 by Wanda BolenAfter living at the Fountains for 3 years, I want to thank you for the great days I have enjoyed. The staff and residents have made it home to me. I have found it easy to fit in and take part in many of the programs offered. Not knowing the city, it has been educational going to mystery dinners nd lunches . Learning the town and learning more about my new friends has been wonderful. Trips out of town appeal to all, and you meet new people on each trip, therefore developing more and perhaps closer relationships.. recently we decorated hats to wear to a MOTHERS DAY TEA which wahs lots of fun. Many enjoy games and dominoes and you can see groups of people having fun most any time of the day. You can stay as busy as you want. To keep our bodies fit, there is a fitness center along with a big heated pool with different groups using it throughout the day. Thai Chi is also offered to keep our bodies flexible. If anyone knows it is time for you to not live alone anymore, the Fountains is where you can feel right at home. If you are not sure about financial matters, the staff will work with you to help figure a way you might move here. Come have fun and be comfortable here, WB
Brand new facility!
reviewed on: 02/27/2017 by AnonymousI think it been a good place for my parents so far, the staff is very friendly. The only concern is that because it is such a new place, they started to move people in much sooner than they should have. When my parents moved into their apartment, they were still finishing up the paint. The meals have been the best part about it, my parents really like the food.
