Mums suite in her Lodge
reviewed on: 04/24/2016 by JacquelineThe lodge is a little tired and needs some tlc. Staff for the most part exceptional. The elevator was broken for 3 weeks hopefully that will not happen again. Meals are plentiful but lack fresh vegetables. Maybe a veggie meal with legumes as a protein should be considered. Mum is safe and that is comforting. Everyone is really helpful and it feels like a big family. I would recommend this assisted living home it is a really nice environment.
Lots to consider before heading there
reviewed on: 05/01/2018 by AnonymousMy mother has been a resident for 3 years there now. It has changed hands and will be changing again apparently June 2018. No information is shared with the residents as to who is the new owner. Place is definitely run down and could use a facelift. Meals are sometimes good, sometimes bad. They do hired quite a few young and inexperienced PSW's. Best bang for your buck I suppose. Overall if you are independent and on a limited pension/income it could be the place for you. They do seem to accomodate all kinds of individuals from every walk of life that require some home care. Don't expect much in the way of activitivies/outings as they are limited and quite frankly attendance for any of those seems low. Common areas are quite small and not frequented or used to full potential. Hoping new ownership will bring some life into the place.
