Community Reviews
Nice independent living
reviewed on: 07/21/2020 by AnonymousFor people who are still active it is great community, there are a lot activities for them. If you are not independent this is probably not the right fit for you. We chose this community because at the time he was active and the location was close to his home. I would recommend this community to other families.
5 years, tied and true, Recomended
reviewed on: 01/26/2018 by Mora WklsonSummerplace, like ALL Assisted Livings have turn over, staff that may not mesh with out loved ones, Administrative staff that are just too busy to take our phone calls, and foods we may not like. They do have 1 thing in common. The desire and want to care for our loved ones. My mother lived at Summerplace for 5 years. We saw it all. The good, the bad, the terrible.as a retired nurse myself, I can say that the Health office has the best of intentions and 95% of the staff REALLY cared about my mom. The other 5 percent, were the bad apples that just wanted a paycheck. Summerplace is a beautiful community. The new, improved, and long term staff will be an amazing team going forward in 2018. I wish that I would see it unfold. Summerplace is trying very hard to have an amazing reputation again, all in do time. The reviews below do not demonstrate the truth of Summerplace. I would highly recommend Summerplace for anyone.

Wonderful Staff!!
reviewed on: 03/20/2014 by SandyIt's a wonderful place! We just love it! We only looked at a couple places, and we just fell in love right away. The administrative staff (Grace, specifically) is just wonderful, and always in touch. She's out there among the residents and always ready to talk if anything comes up! The nurse, Norma, is very involved with the patients and their families. The caregivers are all nice and patient. The only downside is that the bus only accomodates 2-3 wheelchairs, so that makes it tough for going out. Also, all doctors appointments have to be on Mondays or Tuesdays, which can be difficult sometimes. Overall though, she gets very good care here and we are so happy.
Overall positive
reviewed on: 07/30/2021 by Edward DWhat we like about this community is how flexible that staff has been, they are doing a great job working with our loved one and making sure she is getting the care that she needs. Some of the improvements can be with their meal service, our loved one complains that it is slow at times which is troublesome. Also they have not been able to do as many activities as we would of hoped for.
