Community Reviews

they need a male caregiver who cares about recidents

reviewed on: 10/01/2015 by Anonymous

this place is great for female recidents male residents are not treated well. residents don't have activities are always in their room they only come out for meals. there's two caregivers a female and male onsite but when my father needs to use the bathroom Daniel is never where to be found or is sleeping in living room. i wouldn't recommend this place

great facility

I loved that it was a family run business. Everyone had their own specialty. And very kind too all of our family . My brother in law was in good hands. When's it's time I would want to be taken care of there

I can't speak more highly of them, I have been very very pleased.

I can't speak more highly of them, I have been very very pleased. They are very understanding and they definitely know what they are doing. I don't know what I'd do without them. They never act like anything is a problem, it is well organized and each person is well cared for. It's a homey atmosphere. It's always very clean. I like their caring attitude, they definitely know what they are doing medically as well. Everything was written out in the contract, so I knew exactly what was going to happen if there were extra needs. They gave her time to adjust before deciding what kind of care she needed. There are occaisonal activities, not daily. The food always smells really good, and they seem to love it. This has been perfect for our family and situation, it might not be for everyone, but we love it.

In Good Hands

reviewed on: 11/08/2017 by Anonymous

Silvia’s has been caring for my stepfather for over a month now. He likes it there and they are attentive and nice. It’s been a real blessing to know he’s in good hands. They contact me regularly so their communication is very good. The place is nice, clean and well-kept. The food is good and it always smells so good there it makes me want to have lunch! He’s not active so doesn’t participate in any activities. The staff works with me as a partner in his care and eases my burden as I’m very busy so I’m very thankful for their help. I would highly recommend Silvia’s. And I give it a 4.8 out of 5 rating.

Expensive

reviewed on: 07/26/2013 by Fran

It's quite expensive. I pay almost $6000 a month for my husband to live there. They have a base price and then other fees for care. There is another fee for tube feeding which he has to have and $500 a month becuase he needs 2 people to transfer him. The hospice prescribed something and Sylvia and Johns is giving it to him all the time instead of just in emergencies. They have him so drugged all the time that he can't wake up. My husband doesn't speak to it makes it difficult to know when he's in pain and Silvia just assumes that he's in pain all the time and gives him the medicine. It could be more to do with hospice that Silvia and John's but I just don't know. It's a very nice facility and everyone has their own private room and bath which is nice. The people mostly stay in their rooms all day but they make them come out for meal times. They don't have any group activities or anything like that.
