Kind and Caring Staff
reviewed on: 12/09/2017 by BobTOur Mom moved to Rose Tree Place from another area Senior Living place and we could not have been happier. The entire staff was wonderful to deal with including the admins, aides, nurses, housekeeping, and dining room. The building and Mom's room was kept clean, the entertainment was good, and the food was very good. Most important, the people there really care and demonstrate their compassion and kindness. I would highly recommend this community.
Finding Happiness in a New Home
reviewed on: 06/28/2019 by Sandy StefanowiczI recently helped a close friend transition to living at Rose Tree Place. After living independently her entire life, she realized it was time to give up her home and live someplace where she has options for support when needed. Rose Tree was the perfect choice. My friend and her beloved cat have a beautiful apartment in a quiet, residential setting. However, when the need arises, medical help, rehab and the caring staff are there to meet her individual needs. She has made friends, gone on group outings and can just be in her own place reading a book when that is her choice. The setting is lovely with trees and gardens surrounding the building. There are about 100 folks living there and you never have the feeling of illness, hospital, lonely people in wheelchairs waiting for help as I have seen in other facilities. I visit once or twice a week and each time I come away feeling good about where my dear friend is now living. It is truly her new home. Special thank you to Michael Rasmussen, the facility director, for working with me to make this happen and to continue being so kind and caring to my friend.
Rose Tree Place is a MUST see and THE place you’ll want your Mom and/or Dad to be.
reviewed on: 08/05/2016 by Mrs.CGoreyIf you are looking for just the right place for your Mom and/or Dad—Rose Tree Place is where you want them to be! It’s a challenging time when sons/daughters/parents have to come together and “make the decision” that it’s time and your parent(s) can no longer live alone and need a little assistance. It’s a hard decision taking your loved one(s) from a home they know for so long, their personal property and most especially their independence. This was the case with my Dad. He has Parkinson’s and mobility issues and falls frequently. After 2 years, many visits to the ER, coaching to us by his Doctors we finally had to sit down, talk and make that decision. My husband and I started the process by researching and making appointments to tour several facilities in the Media/Rose Tree area. Upon arriving at Rose Tree Place we were greeted by Michael Rasmussen, Director. Michael was awesome! He couldn’t have been more professional, pleasant, helpful, explaining the facility, how things work and helping us get things in place. He said hello to every resident we passed and knew everyone by name. When we found Rose Tree Place we knew this was it! But to be fair we took my Dad to a few places my husband and I had selected and asked Dad to pick since this was going to be his new home. He picked Rose Tree Place! Rose Tree Place is a beautiful community situated in Media on lovely grounds with walking trails. Once inside you walk into a marble lobby with grand piano that overlooks an outdoor patio courtyard. The library just off the common room is stocked with books where residents can relax and take in a new read. The residents come together to eat in a dining room that looks like a restaurant and overlooks the courtyard. Residents order from a menu that changes daily and their food is delivered right to their table. When they’re done they can walk-about the place, get involved in one of the many activities going on or go back to their apartment. The resident’s quarters are nothing like I’ve ever seen. Most residents live in one bedroom apartments that have high ceilings, windows, full kitchen and lots of closet space. And residents can take their stuff from home with them to their new apartment. So while it’s not exactly ‘home’ it sort of looks a bit like home. And I have to mention the smell—the air is so clean and fresh. The place is immaculate! Truly Rose Tree feels more like a quaint Bed & Breakfast then an assisted living facility. Most important to the “aesthetics” is how the residents are treated and cared for. Everyone knows everyone’s name. Residents are treated and cared for with the utmost respect. If you’re looking for an Assisted Living Facility in or around the Delaware County area—Rose Tree Place is a MUST see and THE place you’ll want your parents to be.
Answered Prayers
reviewed on: 04/22/2021 by Cheryl KWords can NEVER adequately explain the debt our family owes to Mike Rasmussan, and Rose Tree Place for coming to our rescue. At a time when we needed them most, they were able to provide a safe, caring and loving environment for my aunt, who was in the early stages of dementia. She was very hard to please, and was not at all agreeable about the need for professional help in her care. My aunt lived in Rose Tree for about 3 years. During those years she was happy, content, and extremely well cared for. Our family had a support system in place, by way of Rose Tree, that alleviated ALL of our worries. To have such a professional, loving and caring care team was such a blessing for us. Our prayers were truly answered! She was protected during the Covid pandemic, and covered with God's perfect peace, as she quietly and peacefully slipped away to be with him.
