November 1, 2016 Move In Review
reviewed on: 12/01/2016 by Kathy Cunningham (Daughter)Our experience thus far has been very positive. Erica has been wonderful and helped us through finding the right apartment, reviewing financials, working with us for move in and tending to details upon admission. The apartment was completely freshened up with new carpeting, paint and was spotless on our arrival. Anything that needed tending to was done with joy by maintenance and housekeeping; they couldn't have been more helpful or friendly in providing all we needed. There is a flat screen TV in the living room and Mom had her choice to leave it table top or to be mounted on the wall. She even has a washer and dryer in her apartment and can now do her own laundry. She has not been able to do that for a few years as her former laundry appliances were in the basement and the stairs were too dangerous for her to navigate. Mom has adjusted quite well and says she feels very safe at Deer Meadows. She says the staff is kind and caring and the food good. She has gained five pounds since admission, which she really needed. So far, so good. Mom entered on November 1st and I'd say it has been a very positive experience.
Review of Deer Meadows Retirement Community
reviewed on: 09/03/2020 by Bentley G. Baker Sr.5+ months of living here with a lot of good experiences. I highly recommend it to everyone.
Efficient
reviewed on: 06/05/2020 by Betty MillerThe area where my mother is is always very clean, the rest of the community, however can get dirty. The staff is very nice. From what I have seen, the care my mother is receiving is very good. They do a really good job with working through some of her behaviors. The food could be improved, however the activities are pretty good. Deer Meadows is a good value for the level of care, especially considering they are slightly less expensive than other communities in the area.
Overall community is good, and would recommend
reviewed on: 10/29/2020 by AnonymousWe have only seen a little bit of this community so far due COVID, but staff members have been really good and helpful especially during this time. Their communication has been great, first they were sending us emails about what is going on weekly, and now it is bi-weekly. From our understanding our loved one is being well taken care of. The helpfulness really stood out to us, and one of the main reason our loved one chose this place, was because it is more of the independent style of living, and they don't have to move if they started to need more care, the care services come to them.
