Community Reviews
I'm quite happy with them. They are very clean, and the staff is very friendly.
reviewed on: 04/11/2014 by Family MemberI'm quite happy with them. They are very clean, and the staff is very friendly. They are quick to respond if I have any concerns or if there are needs. They have activities, and they try to get the residents engaged but it can be hard in memory care.
High Quality unequaled in employee commitment and caring for residents
reviewed on: 01/04/2021 by Resident's SonMy Mother has been a resident of Shepherds Care for many years, starting in the general population and now in the Memory Care Unit. Given the lengthy duration of her residency, I have had numerous dealings and contacts with Shepherds Care staff at all levels. I find staff to be universally kind and willing to address any sort of resident needs. My own residence is many miles from Greenville, so confidence in service delivery is critical to me; and my experience tells me that residents are always treated professionally, kindly and in their best interests. Recently, by mistake, I let a critical resident-provided supply need go unfulfilled. I learned of this from a staff member who personally offered to travel to a local store to satisfy a short-term need, at her own expense, until I could address the longer-term need. Shepherds Care efficiently and reliably provides special needs that are critical to well resident being. There is not a better facility in the Greenville area.
Location is not desireable
reviewed on: 10/02/2013 by AnonymousThey wouldn't take my mother in law because they said that she had just gotten off of sliding scale diabetes and even though she wasn't on it anymore they weren't comfortable with it. We looked at Sheperd's Care because we felt she would know people there because she had a connection with Bob Jones University and I know that they're an extension of them. We thought it would be a good place and the price was fair but quite frankly the location is terrible. When you look outside and see huge traffic on Pleasantburg drive; every room you look at just has traffic out the window. They didn't have the nice gardens that some of these other places have and the building is extremely old, it's clean, but just very, very old.
