Community Reviews
Elegant Care
reviewed on: 06/23/2017 by AnonymousWe toured this elegant community for the care for my mom. The staff was nice and helpful to answer the questions that we needed for the care for my mom. The rooms are small but very homey. They offer outings for the residents. This is a little more for the care, but very nice. for a loved one to enjoy due to everything that is offered for the care and the value.
Peace in Knowing
reviewed on: 05/25/2020 by pkwI have been very pleased with staff and their care for my relative. Being honest about what I see as problems has been courteously received and corrected. I live a couple of hours away and always receive prompt responses to my calls and emails which is most meaningful to me. We searched about ten facilities in the area before selecting Heritage at Hunters Chase. I would suggest visiting on and off tour to decide where you and your loved one would feel at home. I also recommend a Place for Mom as guidance for your search and knowing what to consider.
Good Place... I'd recommend it easily
reviewed on: 11/15/2018 by MaxRIt took most of my late mother's last months to educate ourselves on Heritage's limitations after getting so much sunshine blown up our skirts. Once Mom had died, we left wondering why we didn't learn all those important facts about Care, Legal Limits, etc, long before those last 8 or 10 weeks of her life. Staff & Leadership seemed content to spew acronyms and vague legal precedents to us as reasons for their demands or not-doings. These are still problematic, months later, only because their solution to OUR problems seem like easy but complete conversation. Other than that nagging issue, the director of their Memory Care unit remains an outstanding worker in our opinion, who seemed to continuously give so much of her energies and creativity into the care for everyone in her charge. Her staff probably could not live up to that high standard, by the way, but they were more-than-adequate.
More Problems, Than Positives
reviewed on: 02/23/2021 by AnonymousThe community didn't live up to their promises. My loved one's little apartment was unclean, with wrong refrigerator, and broken blinds; they had more than a month's notice prior to my loved one moving in. There has been a lot of turnover. There's a mix-up with medication and it is never their fault. My loved one says the staff are lazy, yells at them, and is rude to them. The food hasn't been anything like promised, and is cold. I get different stories from the staff and my loved one. They are the only place that had to evacuate during the recent storms. The evacuation was to a church and they don't have showers at the church. My loved one wants to stay at their church, as the volunteers have been so nice to them. I will be looking for a new community for my loved one. I would not recommend this community due to my recent experience.
Choose After Studying Many Communities and Reviews
reviewed on: 03/01/2021 by AnonymousYou should look at other places as well as this one. You should choose a community after looking at several and making the best decision for the family. During my loved one's transition I wasn't able to contact my loved one. I wish the staff wold have helped more.
