Kingsville is a city in Texas. It is the county seat of Kleberg County. The population was 26,213 at the time of the 2010 census. Kingsville is the principal city of the Kingsville Micropolitan Statistical Area, which is part of the larger Corpus Christi-Kingsville Combined Statistical Area.The community was established in 1904 after the St. Louis, Brownsville and Mexico Railway completed a line through the town. A post office was established that same year. The city is named after Richard King, owner of nearby King Ranch.The Naval Air Station Kingsville is a military airport located 3 miles east of the city. It is one of the U.S. Navy's premier locations for Navy jet aviation training.
