Majority Good and Some Bad

Mom needs assistance walking to the bathroom and has to wait for a long period for assistance, during these shortages. They advertise that they have wi-fi. There has been no wi-fi since my mom moved in Oct. This has created a major problem for us because even with hearing aids mom cannot hear on the phone. Her phone has closed captioning but with the wi-fi down it doesn't work. It is very frustrating for us and especially for mom. We have been trying to get them to fix it to no avail. The food is delicious. They go get the residents for meals and for activities. They also transport the residents to doctor's appointments which helps the family.
A Safe and Caring Place for Your Loved Ones
reviewed on: 09/02/2020 by Fern HanslikMy mother needed to move into a memory care unit quickly and I called A Place for Mom. Colonial Oaks in Pearland was one of the four places that suited my list. In spite of moving in during a locked facility because of the pandemic the caretakers have gone out of their way to let me know how she's doing and to make sure she gets everything I drop off for her. It's amazed me that the caretakers have been able to stay so cheerful in such a challenging time, but I think part of that is because of the director, Marica Reyes. She's very positive and is able to focus on what needs to be done to keep residents and caretakers safe and comfortable. Marica is also quick to get back to you if you have any concerns. She is a good listener and wants to do what is best for each resident. The front desk is great at getting the correct messages to the right person, and the medical staff is great -particularly Laura Foreman.

Warm Hello
reviewed on: 09/21/2019 by RichardOur loved one has been residing at Colonial Oaks in their Memory Care community since December 26, 2018. We are very pleased with the care she is getting there. The staff and employees under Veronica Anthony are very dedicated and committed to the services that our loved one has received. Whenever there are doctor appointments scheduled, the driver gets her there on time and returns promptly to get her back. Each time that we have any concerns or questions, they will respond and resolve it promptly. From the beginning of our visit to the end when we leave, there are warm hellos, smiles, and goodbyes.
