Excellent Care
reviewed on: 09/28/2018 by Donna BraunlichMy mother was a resident at The Landing. Due to her advanced stage of dimentia we could no longer take care of her at home, so we checked around at different homes in San Antonio and decided on The Landing. The staff was efficient, kind ,and caring. I was amazed at the care my mother had at this facility. The place was clean and my mother was well taken care of. Unfortunately my mother who was 101 years old passed away there. The staff would check on her during her last days every 20 minutes to make sure she was doing well and resting comfortably. There is no other place I would have wanted my mother to be, I would rate this facility as excellent!
Amazing care facility
reviewed on: 08/06/2020 by Cynthia RuizThis community treats the residents and their families as a part of a larger family. Everyone knows everyone and they talk to each other through the halls, so you are always hearing conversation and laughter. The residents are treated with respect no matter how advanced their dementia is. They staff know how to diffuse an anxiety attack. I would recommend this community very highly.
Excellent job overall
reviewed on: 02/17/2014 by B SThere care here has been very good overall, aside from one incident we had. The staff and caregivers all have a very positive and caring attitude and outlook, and treat the residents very well. The facility itself is always very clean and nice looking. One aspect I particularly like is that there is an enclosed central courtyard area that all of the buildings open out to, so that the memory care patients have a safe place to go outside. The only issues we've run into was that there was a miscommunication about my father receiving physical therapy for an arm injury. We were under the impression that he was receiving therapy, as was the director, but the nurses caring for him said they had never received those instructions. The director apologized profusely and went out of her way to figure out where the breakdown in communication occured.
Good Value
reviewed on: 06/24/2015 by KMThis is my mothers 3rd facility. The Landing has been a solid 4.5 out of 5. It is very clean overall and the individual rooms are very well kept. The staff is attentive and responsive. Like most healthcare businesses, there is a learning curve and I feel they are making a solid effort to provide great care as the days go by. Yes, communication is a 2 way street and I have found that the squeaky wheel gets the oil. The food is good, the care is consistent , and the building and grounds are top notch. These are hard working people that are providing a service that is incredibly important to the families that pay the bills .I appreciate their efforts.
Review of The Landing At Stone Oak
reviewed on: 07/31/2020 by Courtland Olnet-Smith & Catherine DuncanThe Landing At Stone Oak has eased the worry over whether my precious mom is happy and looked after. I see from her smiling face in the pictures and I can hear in her voice that, although there is some confusion on why we can't visit, she knows she is loved and looked after there. We are in awe of the wonderful job they do. God has given the staff a loving heart and strong shoulders. They do a wonderful job and can never repay the gratitude we have.
