reviewed on: 08/02/2017 by Living in VirginiaHello! We moved our mom into Highland Glen in June 20147. I live in the East, so stayed several days to make sure Mom was settled and comfortable. She will soon be 94. We are very pleased with the facility. It is handsomely decorated. I love the paintings. The staff is attentive and caring and appear to love their work. The grounds are inviting and pleasing. The dining room is cozy. The food is imaginative and varied - important for diminished palates. I would live there.
A Fun Experience

We have been able to participate in the pen pal program and my four-year old loves writing his friend there. It’s been a fun way to keep us engaged during the pandemic.

reviewed on: 10/10/2019 by Jennifer MortensonI cannot say enough about Highland Glen! My mother has lived there for close to 2 years now. The staff is AMAZING! I know mom gets such good care in every way. The food is wonderful, the activities are so fun and there is always something fun scheduled. The nursing care is exceptional and the administrative staff is incredible. They have become like family to us. We've never once seen anything that warned or concerned us, and we are there a lot. I just love them!
Such A Great Place

The community is the perfect size for her the location of her room is great so she doesn't have to go far for meals for activities. She is enjoying being social with the other residents. The staff is wonderful so nice and caring and empathetic. The food is okay some days are better than others. I had taken a look at the memory care wing and it was very nice and the staff over on that side seem to know what they were doing very professional. I would recommend this community.

My nana has lived there for almost 9 months and they treat her with respect and kindness. Highland Glen works together as an amazing team!
