Community Reviews
Dated but clean
reviewed on: 03/12/2018 by PatOur father was accepted at Woodhaven when he was expelled from Va Veterans Care for aggressive behavior due to his Alzheimers. They were the ONLY facility that would accept him with his history of aggression and we were very grateful. The staff were friendly and caring, and while the facility was small and dated, it was clean and had no offensive smells. Our Dad had no aggressive incidents while there. Our real disappointment was the food. It was very basic - lunch and dinner were often grilled cheese sandwiches and canned soup, nothing he could look forward to or enjoy so we supplemented his diet with “carry- in” food and milk shakes. We were touched and grateful that the facility manager and his wife traveled 2 hours to attend Dad’s funeral service.
