Community Reviews
Staff is very inviting and residents are happy
reviewed on: 01/08/2018 by AnonymousI toured this facility while looking for a place for my Aunt. It is a very nice facility and the staff members are very inviting. When I showed up I was unannounced but the woman took me on a tour without skipping a beat. While I was walking around, all of the residents seemed to be satisfied and smiling. It was a clean community and had no odor. However, I didn’t bring my Aunt here because it was too big of a building and I know she would get lost. I would recommend this facility to other families
An excellent facility for an aging parent
reviewed on: 02/24/2019 by G. HowellAs a daughter of an aging mother, I believe that the medical and support staff at Brandon Oaks Nursing and Rehabilitation facility provided my mother with exceptional medical care, love and dignity during the last three 1/2 years of her life. My mother entered Brandon Oaks for rehabilitation of a broken hip. The rehab staff were friendly, supportive and diligent in their efforts to aid my mother back to a more independent life style. When a stroke and several more falls indicated that independent living was no longer a possibility, the nursing and rehab staff continued to meet the changing needs yet allowed my mother to decide whether or not to return to assisted living or remain in nursing care support. Choosing nursing care support, the nursing and activity staff worked hard to make Brandon Oaks a home. The staff encouraged my mother's involvement in as many activities as she was willing to do. Trips out, singing groups, and bible studies were all part of her daily activities. Musical performances, picnics, and special events livened up the daily schedule. The staff also respected her privacy and decisions. When I was in need of their support and help at the end of her life, the entire staff went out of their way to provide opportunities for the family to be together and to care for me as well as meeting all of my mother's medical needs. I am grateful for my mother's decision to become part of the Brandon Oaks family. This facility did an exceptional job in meeting her needs and the staff supported me as well. Thank you.
This is high end money-wise and very ...
reviewed on: 10/01/2013 by Family MemberThis is high end money-wise and very selective about who they take because they never let you go, they guarantee you until the end but this was out of our price range
disappointed and inferiated
reviewed on: 01/09/2015 by disappointedThe long term nursing home and rehab facility is a joke. Lack personal caring, especially with DON. Mentally is it's just a job. Numerous incidence that involved injuries with no changes in care or prevention. Very disappointed considering the money that has to put out up front just to get in the door. Broken bones should not be taken lightly!
