Review of Allisonville Meadows Assisted Living

reviewed on: 11/05/2020 by Pauline K.

My husband and I moved here from Tennessee to be closer to family. Unfortunately, my husband passed shortly after our move. It was hard but having a support system here made a difficult situation easier. It meant a lot to be around others that found themselves in a similar situation but made it through and were happy again! I love to walk outside and be in the fresh air. They make sure I am safe.

Allisonville Meadows is very welcoming

My mom moved in the first of July. We have had a wonderful experience. The staff, Cathy and Carrie, before hand were so informative and kept in touch with me constantly. Cathy did not hesitate to answer my questions at any time, this means in the evening, on the weekend and even when on vacation. Carrie was very helpful and recognized me as well as greeted by name when I arrived for tours prior to move in. The staff has been welcoming to my mom and the activities director makes a point to get her involved. She is comfortable here and with her mild alzheimers is getting along fine in the traditional assisted living setting so far. The only improvement I see needed is with the dining staff. I know this position probably has high turnover and is difficult to hire for and is probably the reason why the staff is not considerate of the older residents that may need more help.

Allisonville - Good value and solid care.

It is still early - time will tell how well Mom adjusts. Staff has been great. Could have been a bit more structured around the transition process, but we got there.

Highly Reccomended

If you are applying for VA or any other benefits you need to start early on as it is a very lengthy process. The Staff is very friendly, and very, very receptive. The activities that they provide, seem to be pretty well attended. They have an activities coordinator that is just out of this world and everyone of the staff are very good about dealing with the residents. The staff is very good about attending to needs and very receptive of questions.

Bingo is my favorite activity! It has made making friends easy! I loved doing ceramics with [names removed]. Before COVID, my favorite outings always included looking at Christmas lights in Fishers and at Connor Prairie. I have found all of the nurse aides and nurses to be very helpful. I really enjoy anytime I can spend with the staff.
