Happy Mom, Happy Son
reviewed on: 10/29/2020 by MichaelMy dad passed away about 6 months ago and I was worried my mother would be lonely without and opportunities to be around others. During the pandemic we were really worried moving to a facility would be not an option for her and would create an unsafe environment. I was shocked to learn Magnolia Glen was engaged in testing everyone each week. This gave me peace of mind and the confidence to trust Magnolia Glen. My mother moved in recently and I am so happy that what I was sold on was actually what was delivered. My mother could not be happier with her new home!
Clean but total lack of care towards the end
reviewed on: 10/22/2018 by RMy grandma has stayed with magnolia Glen for 8 years and enjoyed it. The place is always clean and well maintained. Unfortunately her health has recently begin to decline and she's had to move into the assisted living area of Magnolia Glen. Firstly, she had to hire movers to move her bed and furniture to another floor. No help offered. Secondly, and most infuriating, she has not felt well enough to go to the dining room. Its a lot of work for her mobility speaking and her breathing is labored. I tell you the God's honest truth, her room is down the hall from the dining room, maybe 40 feet. Magnolia Glen said they'd have to charge additional to bring her meal to her room. This is assisted living and she pays 7 thousand dollars a month to be there. Mind you she's paid that for 8 years. You do the math. Not too far from a million. I find this to be criminal. The woman is towards the end of her life and the lack of care is appauling in my opinion. I'm her youngest grandson and trust me, I'd like to raise hell. My wife and family are in various healthcare positions, and I'm told this is par for the course at most facilities. Disgusts me. Wake up America.
The Best Assisted Living Facility
reviewed on: 07/08/2019 by Susan KOur mother came to live at Magnolia Glen three years ago after a very short stay at another assisted living facility that proved to be unsatisfactory to our mom and us. She chose to live in assisted living because of challenges with her eyesight. Magnolia Glen has been the most wonderful place our mother could have been. From the first contact with the sales director we knew we had chosen the right place. Every staff member is professional, personable, knowledgeable and consistent. The executive director, assisted living nursing director, RNs and CNAs are top knotch. The facility is always clean, orderly and secure. The food is so good with a varied menu of fresh, healthy foods. Our family has had the most peace of mind during the past three years knowing that our mother was in such good hands at Magnolia Glen. Unfortunately we had to move her to a nursing home because of health needs. There will never be another Magnolia Glen for Mom and our family. It is such a well run facility.
Review of Magnolia Glen
reviewed on: 07/17/2019 by JimMy mother has easily made the transition to Independent Living @ MG. She loved it and I'm so happy that she is making new friends and doing lots of activities. My brother moved to assisted living in March '19. He has Parkinson's Disease which presents both physical and mental challenges. It's not easy for [name removed]. I sleep easier knowing [name removed] is safe and well cared after. Nurses [name removed] and [name removed] have been very helpful, understanding and supportive.
