Spring Hills
reviewed on: 10/02/2015 by Catherine T. AsherWarm and friendly people (all) who consistently monitor and care for the residents. The staff is very personable and the residents feel at home and cared for. The kitchen staff work very hard, always smiling and helping everyone w/ their meal. The food is very good.

reviewed on: 05/13/2013 by Mr. Billspring hill mount vernon really has their act together. from the moment my wife and i walked thru the doors on our first day for our tour until today, the feeling of caring was felt by us. not only are they caring for my wife, but they are giving me much support during my transition period of adjusting without her at my side every day for the last 54+ years. the employees at spring hill really care and they love their interaction.
A Great Experience in Senior Living
reviewed on: 04/06/2016 by Dennis D.I would like to say I was pleasantly surprised at my visit to Spring Hills Mount Vernon, Senior Living Facility in Alexandria, Virginia. Ms. Tracey Johnson was very pleasant, very professional, expressed herself very well and very informative regarding the care one could expect and receive for their love ones. I have been to a lot of Rehabilitation Centers and I was pleasantly surprised from the moment I stepped inside the Mount Vernon Senior Living Facilities (definitely nothing like what I had experienced at Rehabilitation Centers) staff, friendliness of personnel, cleanliness of the facility, decor, rooms, outdoor sitting area, and the overall services provided. Also, I was impressed that Ms. Beoncia Johnson (Director of Sales) gave me a follow-up call to inquire about visit. I also received a follow-up call from Ms. Tracey Johnson. I would highly recommend Springs Hills Mount Vernon to my family members and friends.
It is OK
reviewed on: 03/07/2016 by AnonymousThere has been recent staff changes. There is a new facility director and a new director of care. Families of the residents were not notified of the changes until a few weeks later. The food is fair. The nursing staff is competent. Cleaning staff is pleasant. Activities have declined over the past year - possibility due to budget cuts. It is not the most happy place for some residents and it shows. The residents age range varies - so does their cognitive level. Most residents have ambulatory issues. Getting in and out of the dining room can be a challenge as a result.
Couldn't be happier to have my Aunt living here
reviewed on: 10/19/2021 by Nancy AI have no regrets at all with placing my loved one here . Her apartment is clean and she is clean and the community is very bright and cheery and not dreary like other communities. There are some staff that are very cheery and great and then there are others that are a little more standoffish and I feel like just trying to get to know me better. They are really on top of the care services, my loved one wandered off early in the morning and we got a call that morning to put a wander guard on her and within 24 hours it was done to make sure that she was good and taken care of. This community is very responsive and the staff are on it right away. They had a visitation regulation and it was a little hard they listened to feedback and now the hours have increased with a few other rules to protect the residents. They for sure listen to what the families have to say. They also have a nice selection of food for the residents. They have activities like piano and sing a longs, and bingo. My loved one would like more movie nights and card games but with more staff this may change. This was one of the most affordable places that I found in my search.
