Wonderful place!

reviewed on: 01/23/2015 by Anonymous

Everything at The Hermitage has been fantastic so far. The staff are incredibly helpful and friendly, and were right there for us throughout the whole sales and move-in process. The facility itself is clean and well kept, and the room they had available was just right for the loved ones that we were searching for. They even do a great job with the food! I would give them top marks across the board, it really has been a great experience!

How lucky we were to find the Hermitage!

From the first time we went on a tour with Lynette M., we realized we had found the almost perfect place for our loved one. We had visited other places but they fell far short of Hermitage. Lynette's honesty, warmth, and cheerfulness with not only us, but with all the staff and residents we encountered on the tour, were a positive factor in convincing us to apply for an apartment. Since that initial encounter, we have had only positive experiences with the staff and residents. The food is delicious, too. And, we know other folks who have decided that this is a great place for their loved ones.

Peace of Mind and Better Health

Since moving into the Hermitage, my Mom has improved significantly in many ways. Being "forced" to eat the majority of her meals in the main dining room is a major contributor to this. First, she's eating more nutritionally balanced meals which is helping with her energy levels. The moving about from her unit to the dining and back is creating a level of physical activity that had been fading and causing other health related issue. This subtle form of exercise has been a big improvement. The social element that comes from both the dining arrangement and the other residents has been good for her mental well-being. She's also been participating in the exercises class, which is not typical for her at all, but again, has been extremely positive. The staff is very caring, friendly, and attentive. All in all, it's been a great experience for all involved.

Hermitage is excellent

My father moved into the Hermitage in early Sept 2018. We couldn't be more happy. I was looking for a place for my Dad and after talking to Lynette Mitchell I basically stopped my search. She was so lovely and answered all my questions and gave such a great overview of the place. When we saw it, we knew it would be right for my dad. He has had some complications health wise and Hermitage has worked with us every step of the way. The entire staff is incredibly caring and respectful. My Dad has a beautiful apartment and it is quite reasonable without a big buy-in fee. The food is great and the place is very clean. They have tons of activities. They are very careful about who they hire, it is obvious to me. Cheerful, kind, compassionate people everywhere. Patty G.

Offers Independent and Assisted Living

reviewed on: 07/23/2013 by Would Recommend Checking Out for Independent/Assisted Living

We only toured The Hermitage but it was really clean. They had just replaced the carpet and you could instantly tell what floor you were on because the carpet was different on every floor. I believe the facility had four or five floors. We met a resident who showed us her apartment. She had all of her own furniture and she even invited us into her walk-in closet. When we were there they were hosting a pretty well attended ice cream social. Not sure if this is helpful but I saw pretty equal numbers of men and women that all looked like residents. This place felt more clinical than The Washington House, but the apartments had nice kitchenettes with a fridge and microwave.
