Friendly staff that seem to care

My wife and I looked around long and hard to find the right place for her active 95 year old Dad. We found Bradenton Oaks fit his lifestyle and needs. The people are very friendly and helpful. There is always room for improvement anywhere but all in all we are pleased considering these trying times of Covid and employee problems.

Worth looking into.

I think Bradenton Oaks is worth looking into. It was affordable for my sister. There's not a lot of activities per say, but they do encourage the residents to come out of their rooms, go to the dining area for meals, there's van service to go to Walmart/shopping. She's a picky eater so she doesn'y care for the food much.

You get what you pay for

When they tell you that they will provide you rides to your doctor appointments, the will not do it. They claim they have no bus, and they will not get the bus fixed. There's supposed to be someone there to order your groceries, and she's only been able to do it once or twice since November. The staff has only called me once, and that was to tell me my loved one was in the hospital. The rest of the time I haven't had any calls. The food is absolutely horrible. My loved one enjoys playing bingo there, and that makes her happy.

My tour review

This was a good community and would have worked perfect for my loved one. I just had to narrow down the choices and my loved one picked a different community. The tour was great, and they took the time to show me everything.
