We looked at Walnut House for my mother-in-law. We thought it was very nice but the care that she needed, we just felt that she would not get as much care there as she would at a smaller care home where there is a higher staff/resident ratio.

I liked this one the best. Nicest looking, seemed to have the most aware people, and lots of things to do.

This surprised me. It is a Carmichael version of Palm Gardens. They provide activities, field trips, tasty cuisine, and reasonable prices. It is not a locked facility. They have a lovely room available, opened to a courtyard and of good size. The food looks great (better than what I have seen at other facilities) and considering the kitchen and dining room are adjoined, there were no objectionable smells. The staff looks a little challenged (a great deal of obesity), but the patients look great!
