Elder Care in a Jewish Setting
reviewed on: 01/07/2014 by Deborah WAs the daughter of an octogenarian couple who recently moved here, I have had nothing but positive experiences with Heritage Pointe (HP), its management and support staff. The food is above average (an important factor for my father), the activities seem almost non-stop, everyone is friendly, helpful and accommodating. Here's something nobody told my brother and me during visits with doctors and a social worker: For the adult children of a parent considering HP or any other assisted living, it's important to know that a move should be made *before* the parent is diagnosed with dementia. Once that diagnosis is confirmed in medical records, a place like HP will require residency in the "Memory Care" facility. My parents moved "just in time," as my mother is essentially "pre-dementia." Otherwise, my father would have moved to an apartment at HP and my mother would have gone to a separate facility on the same campus.
Comfort for our Parents

This place has given us the greatest comfort knowing that our parents are well taken care of. The staff here goes above and beyond our expectations . The one thing that stands out to us when visiting Heritage Pointe is the receptionist Elizabeth. When we first met her she was graceful polite respectful and answered all of our questions and made us feel very secure and let us know that if there was anything that we needed that we could call at anytime and we would be taken care of. This receptionist in our eyes receives a five-star.
Good So Far

She’s only been there a short time, but so far we are very happy.

We haven’t had any issues finding parking at all. Everyone has been great. Everything is fives across the board.
Warm and welcoming environment
reviewed on: 03/03/2021 by Drew ChesenMy mom has lived in Heritage Pointe for over two years. The staff is extremely welcoming and friendly. They truly watch over residents providing the proper balance of independence and assistance. The amenities are wonderful allowing residents to participate in a wide range of activities that match their interests or allow them to develop new ones. The dining staff is friendly and helpful. There is a strong Jewish cultural environment but it isn't overwhelming to residents can practice at whatever level fits their comfort.
