Review of Plaza Village Senior Living - National City, CAreviewed on: 03/03/2016 by Anonymous
I went for an impromptu tour without my parents. The property is very nice and everyone was very accommodating. The style of living would be a big change for my parents and the price is at the very top of our range. Elmer was very personable.
Loved it!reviewed on: 05/19/2014 by Cindy
One of the things I like best about Plaza Village is how thoughtful the staff are. First they gave me a great tour: They were very attentive as they showed me around the bright, clean living areas with plenty of amenities. They also offer a number of fun activities for their happy residents. Afterwards, they even followed up with me to see what I thought and if there is anything else they can do for me. I had a great experience!
Wonderful communication and carereviewed on: 03/29/2017 by Anonymous
We were suggested Plaza Village from A Place for Mom.Their service was very helpful and we have worked with them for years. The staff here is so wonderful and have an open-minded communication. I speak with Elmer often and he was the one who suggested hospice for my mother. He thought it would be beneficial for her to have extra care. Someone is always checking on her every hour and I have many eyes and ears looking out for her. They call me frequently and let me know how things are going. Kelly in the front is always friendly and greets me. We chose Plaza Village because it was so clean and modern.Thing I wish would change is they get through their growing pains and they don't have as many changes in personnel.
very nice placereviewed on: 07/11/2017 by john
The staff is great. My mother has been in a different place and hated that place because they don't offer much activity, but at plaza they have so much more and she said she loves plaza.
A Great Value That Should Get Even Betterreviewed on: 11/11/2018 by AkvavitCA
Plaza Village is an excellent value in Senior Care. The accommodations are Suite Style, as the building was originally built as condominiums. Three or Four bedroom units share a living room and a full kitchen. Master Bedroom is double occupancy and shares a large Master Bath, Smaller bedrooms are private and may or may not share a bath. The staff are very caring. Response time is sometimes slow. The range of activities is limited due to the small size of the facility, but the Activities Director is wonderful and works hard to get residents participating and engaged. The biggest drawback, as in most places, is the food. Again the size of the facility is the limiting factor. Currently the main meal is at noon with a small supper. One entry choice with an alternate plus some unlisted salads, etc. The underground parking garage gives off-street, free parking for outside care services and family. The facility has changed the ownership team and there are plans for changes and improvements, but these take time. The Director is available and attentive to concerns. Overall, this was a good change for my mom and our family.
