Most notable were "Jernigan's Landing", "Scratch Ankle" "Hard Scrabble", and later Mill Town because of the lumber mill which eventually shortened to Milton.Milton is part of the Pensacola-Ferry Pass-Brent Metropolitan Statistical Area.
