They were great! They have been wonderful, the staff, the care, the personal attention they give the residents. It was one of the best things I've ever done for her. The staff gets a six for being friendly. Sometimes they can't always give them what they want and they were able to talk to them in a way as to not upset them. They didn't really have a lot of activities, but it's difficult with the weather and the different levels of care of the residents. I liked the location and I noticed a big difference in the cleanliness and the level of the staff, compared to others I visited. There is one thing I would say, and it's not really them it's a sign of the times, the doors are open 24/7, and once there was a drunk guy in the neighborhood and he fell in the driveway and people are working late and maybe the door should be locked at night, even though they have an alarm.

Liked facility very much. Not best fit for my mom. She would be more comfortable with more closet space and is used to a newer facility with more upscale 'feel'. Very impressed with the Director and staff. If her health declines, I would definitely consider this residence for her.
Making life easy for my 100 year old grandfather.reviewed on: 01/10/2018 by R. Delano
My grandfather moved in to Azalea Manor just over a year ago in August 2017. It took him a few months to get use to the change. He is now in his 100th year and loves the staff and has made some friends. He can be challenging at times, when he is feeling down or doesn't want to take wanting to take his medication etc. but there is always some one on staff that knows how to smile, be patient, and help him out. My dad and I visit him two or three times a week and he is usually snoozing in his recliner, hanging out in the common area, or sitting on the front porch.

Really liked the "home-like" atmosphere here. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Nice area for outside visits for residents. Building was secure. Price was right and rooms wer furnished. Makes moving in much easier. They don't provide respite care at this time. deposit required.
